This year’s Family Conference will be held in Birmingham on Saturday June 29th.

Speakers

We have some fantastic speakers lined up, including:

  • Professor Gupta – a paediatric neurologist and works at the Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. He has been involved with Corpal in the past. He will talk on epilepsy, infantile spasms, the difference between the two and when should a parent need to see a neurologist in the context of DCC.
  • Joe Barnby – an assistant professor in the field of cognitive computational science. He works at the Royal Holloway University and holds a research position at King’s College London. He is already collaborating with the other charities around the world on DCC and has a keen interest in understanding the challenges of young adults with the condition.
  • Christina Dimitriadou – a PhD student under the supervision of Joe.
  • Natasha Ladak – a therapy life coach and the founder of Head2Heart Connection. She has extensive experience and work within our Charity and will deliver a talk on skills and challenges not just for the individuals affected with DCC but for those around them too.
